Leif Ove Andsnes has long been recognised as one of the leading exponents of the music of Edvard Grieg. The Piano Concerto was the work which launched Andsnes’s international career when he made his debut at the Edinburgh Festival in 1989 with the Bergen Philharmonic, followed one year later by his US debut with the Cleveland Orchestra.
