I am sad to share with you that I need to cancel my remaining solo tour dates in Europe.

Unfortunately, due to the current climate of uncertainty, and related logistical challenges, it is not possible for me to continue the tour – indeed six of my concerts have already been cancelled by venues who are having to respond to various governmental guidelines.

Yuja Wang played the famous arrangement by Volodos and Say of the Turhisch Marsch by Mozart, last movement of the Sonata KV 333 in A major (but the Marsch is in A minor).

In fact, it is not a proper arrangement by Arcadi Volodos and Fazil Say.

Yuja Wang has made a mix between the Volodos version and the more jazzy Say version. She begins with Volodos, then plays Say, and then she alternates both transcriptions.

Chinese pianist Yuja Wang arrived at Vancouver Airport, Canada, for a recital only to be detained by police.

She was subject to 'intense questioning' for over an hour upon arrival in Canada over the weekend, causing her to almost miss her recital that evening at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts.

The experience left her 'extremely shaken', she explained in a Facebook post after her performance.
