25 pianos in 25 public spaces for 25 days decorated by 25 social organisations together with 25 local artists!

Open and free for the community to play and enjoy. Targeted areas include community hubs, heartland areas, shopping malls, bus interchanges and common open air spaces.

Before the exhibition period, local artists will work with beneficiaries from various social welfare groups and charitable organisations that support disadvantaged / marginalised individuals and families to create art.

Then there will be an official opening ceremony where all 25 pianos will be presented to the public before being moved to their respective exhibition locations with performances that encourage interaction, participation and community bonding across all ages.

During the exhibition period, community events such as workshops and music performances by local musicians, groups and schools will be held, centring around the pianos.

Post event, the pianos will be donated / auctioned off and the piano or money raised will then be donated to social welfare groups and charities.

Background:

'Play Me, I’m Yours' is a not-for-profit project and established artwork first commissioned in Birmingham, UK by British artist Luke Jerram in 2008.
