The winner of the piano competition was Daniil Trifonov, a Russian.
Whether his Tchaikovsky First Piano Concerto is worthy to stand next to Van Cliburn's or Pletnev's, I'm not sure, but going on tour with Gergiev is the best place for him to find out whether he has got what it takes to walk in their footsteps.
Only time will tell if the Tchaikovsky really was saved in 2011, if the juries really did pick the right winners, in the careers the musicians succeed – or fail – to... See More

Whether a grand piano can fit into a HDB flat in Singapore, or even a HDB lift in the first place, is definitely an interesting and popular question to ask when you want to buy a piano.
Given its big dimensions compared to an upright piano, we have always wonder if it is possible to live the dream of having a grand piano within our very own HDB living room in the heartland.

Portuguese-American musician Domingos-Antonio Gomes (born 1977), aka Antonio Domingos, made it happen. With his choice of Yamaha CFX concert grand piano, Antonio sets a record of hitting the key B7 a staggering 824 times, in just 60 seconds, which works out to be 13 hits in a second!

As Sean Lennon himself replied to one incensed caps-lock tweeter (“WHY WOULD YOU LET LADY GAGA PLAY ON JOHN’S PIANO?”)
"Firstly, he gave that piano to my mother for her birthday, it is hers, secondly, he was not uptight the way you seem to be," Sean tweeted.
And later, “What should we do, lock it away in a dusty room? So judgmental…Come on, lighten up … life’s too short, there’re enough real problems in the world.”

"Shchedryk" (from Ukrainian: Щедрий вечiр, "Bountiful Evening") is a Ukrainian shchedrivka, or New Year's carol, known in English as "The Little Swallow".
It was arranged by composer and teacher Mykola Leontovych in 1916, and tells a story of a swallow flying into a household to sing of wealth that will come with the following spring.

I tried to recreate every note and every sound effect as accurately as possible with the piano, just like they are played by the five sound channels of the NES.
The reason I recorded it very slowly and then sped it up in post is because most of the sound effects are super fast. It would be impossible to play otherwise.

Lacking the money to buy a piano, 11-year-old Andrew Garrido created his own paper piano to practise on. It got him through his first five grades with distinction.
Now aged 21, the pianist and musician is in his third year at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has played venues across Europe.

A piano, a cello, and 739,539 Christmas lights. Perhaps a perfect setting for a mashup of two of the most well known and beloved Christmas carols, “Let it Snow” and “Winter Wonderland.”

We stitched them together so tightly that we hope it feels like being wrapped in a patchwork blanket of both carols, these artists, and The Piano Guys throughout every second of the song.
Add the visual splendor of an inordinate amount of synchronized lights filmed in below-freezing temperatures and it’s instant Christmas spirit!
Our kids tell us this music video is lit. Um...ya. We suppose it is.
Merry Christmas!

But if a AETT self taught without proper coaching
Then probably fine tuning by software tuning might equal that.
But inorder to be
A qualified aural equal temprement tuner
One needs to be 1 taught n demostrate by a teacher n you will have to discard
Whichever software or scope
That helps you with the job.
And mind you
It takes me almost 10 years of
Practise to perfect the setting of equal tempremt setting by ear.
Modern technology
Have rendered it more difficult
To master the art of Equal temprement
Aural tuning.
So to enage a good tuner/technician
by ear
Is getting lesser nowadays
Fyi
Each note you either
X or divide by 1.0594631

According to a National Music Consumption Survey conducted in 2017, 61% of Singaporeans listen to Chinese music. And while the survey does not break down music listening habits by race, presumably most of those who listen to Chinese music are Chinese, who make up 75% of Singapore’s population. This means that about four out of five Chinese Singaporeans listen to Mandopop.
But who are these listeners?
